Procrastination Edit: You can do it! Go for your dreams, SON!! NEVER GIVE UP!!!! DOES IT SOUND LIKE I’M YELLING?? BECAUSE I AM.
If you have a dream, something you really, really, really want, what price are you willing to pay to achieve those dreams?
I like using attractive girls because it’s a great example( well, for guys at least).
Let’s say you’ve defined every single characteristic of your “dream” girl. You think you know the exact characteristics, values and personality of that girl. You’re walking on the sidewalk. You spot an extremely attractive girl about 300 yards in front of you, on the next block. She’s with a group of friends, laughing, having conversation. She fits every single definition of your “dream” girl. You want to go talk to her, but she’s walking away from you. She’s with her friends. You’d have to sprint to catch up, potentially embarraass yourself, while running through traffic across the crosswalk. There are soooooo many obstacles in your way. Ehh, she’s too far. Ehh, not in the mood. Ehh, it’s a green light. Do you sprint, put your balls( and life) on the line and go talk to her? Or do you just continue with your day?
I think going for your dreams in life is the same thing as running after that “dream” girl. You have a goal that you think would make you happy. There are a ton of obstacles and barriers in your way. If you go for them, you’ll probably get rejected, multiple times. You’ll probably get embarrassed. You might be successful, but realize it doesn’t make you happy. But you sprint for it anyways. Because you can’t hit a home run, if you’re sitting on the bench.
