I’ve felt kinda shitty the last day and a half. It’s that “what do I want to do with my life” anxiety that strikes every young adult.
After downing a cup of coffee, I’m feelin GREAT. Needed to get some thoughts out onto paper right now:
- I’ve decided that I want to go into internet entrepreneurship( I don’t like the word ‘internet marketing.’ I feel like entrepreneurship actually means I’m building something, and marketing means I’m just only trying to sell and acquire users. I actually want to build something useful for other people).
- As a result, I’m gonna be starting a new blog called the Lifelong MBA to test out a lot of the digital marketing, copywriting concepts I’m learning. It’ll basically be my lab experiment for actually putting to practice the marketing knowledge I’m learning( I now know that anytime you learn something, you need to find out a way to turn it into some tangible project, unlike school). It’s also important that I continue to do interesting things to keep the content compelling. Because marketing doesn’t matter if you have a shitty product.
I think the biggest sticking point for most young adults is that choosing one things means you can’t choose the others. I’m interested in sooooo many things:
- Virtual Reality
- Computer Programming
- Music Production
- Learning/Memory Techniques
- Freestyle Rapping
I might be falling victim to hindsight bias, but the reality is that if you want to make money from anything, you’re gonna need to be able to sell it. EDM DJ’s aren’t actually the best DJ’s, they’re the ones who are able to sell the most tickets. So in line with my goal of $2000/month, building a deep knowledge in sales/marketing, and nowadays, the digital landscape, will be immensely valuable in helping not only myself, but others who are doing awesome things.
